Gilles Isabelle and his wife Suzanne own and operate their breeding palomino Quater Horse ranch since l990. Ranch IZO is known to be the home of their famous stallion Modern Sun Dude, World top ten finalist in halter and points earner at the World Show in reining and halter. He also earned points in hunter under saddle and color class with the PHBA. He was also known as a producer of top ten World Show horses. While they were in the Canadian Armed Forces, Gilles and Suzanne were involved in the executive committee of the Base Riding Clubs. Gilles completed a comprehensive program in Animal Sciences in which he received a Diploma with highest honors. They bought a band of broodmares having the first place leading sires in the '40s, '50s, '60s,'70s and 6th in the '80s. Both are now retired from the Canadian Armed Forces and they are now focusing their energy in producing the "versatile quarter horse type" as it was done in the early days of the quarter horse industry by using foundation bloodlines. |
